Ciao everyone! Last Saturday November 15th I went to a really small town in Tuscany called Lucca with my friend Katrina. We did a ton of walking throughout the town and saw a lot because it's so small. We climbed the torre guinigi (not as big as the one in Bologna) and at the top there were 7 trees which was kind of cool. We also went into the duomo di san martino but they were doing a lot of restoration so some of the art was covered. I thought the most interesting thing was a crucifix that was supposedly carved by Nicodemus to portray the true image of Jesus. At the end of the day we walked along the Baluardi which are the medieval walls that enclose the town. It's crazy to think that they've been standing for hundreds of years and they're still perfectly intact.
Tomorrow I leave for Barcelona with my friend Tracy. I'm so excited! I've heard so many great things about Barcelona but I also heard that the pickpocketing and theft there is really bad. Hopefully everything goes well! Miss you and love you all!
